I received an email purporting to be Geek Squad telling me that my subscription had been renewed and I had been charged 390 USD. I had never heard of Geek Squad and had never had a subscription with them, the email came from an odd email account and instructed me to call the above number if I wanted to cancel or upgrade. I decided it was probably best not to call the number. They gave no indication as to where they would be obtaining the $390 and the subscription to legitimate Geek Squad is about $120 I discovered. I got the feeling that if you rang the number you might run up a large bill. I did check my bank just to make sure.

Lady with foreign accent , said she was phoning about our sky account. Told her we dont have sky and I knew it was a scam call. I said in an angry voice to get off the line.

Barely understandable english from some foreign ( Indian type ) gentleman who was less than polite!

The number called me when I was in the shower. I called back and the auto operators voice on my network told me it was not recognised. I checked it again, same result. We all get odd calls from time to time.

There's one that claims to be from Amazon, but it's not, for example. Does anyone know what this one is all about ?.

It was advising me my amazon prime account was charging £74. + and press 1 to cancel or 2 to discuss with someone,I do not have a prime account realised it was a scam,this is the third call ref amazon prime I have had in the last few days always a different number.
I just hung up.
