Tried to tell me they were from amazon (a German number) and that there was about to be some activity on my account that was fraudulent and they asked if i knew someone called something or other. I didn't. They said that at 8am tomorrow someone will use my account fraudulently and they need me to stop it. I said if you know this then you stop it! She wanted me to go into my amazon account and follow some simple steps to stop my account being used. I told them that I will phone amazon myself as I did not trust them, She said amazon only call customers if it is urgent, I will put you through to my supervisor - I said no its ok I will call amazon - I called Amazon and thy confirmed that it was not them and my account was fine and they call customers unless they are asked to. It sounded very genuine with lots of noise in the background like it was a call centre.
