A young woman said she was phoning about a recent car accident in which I had been involved but which was not my fault. I said I had not had an accident. She said she would remove my umber from her list. I suspect this was some compensation scam.

Recorded message purporting to be from amazon - spoke to amazon who said they do not phone for this type of account query it is done by email- the recorded message said that money would automatically be taken from my credit card - coincidentally I recently had a free trial with amazon prime which required me to provide credit card details so that they could automatically take funds for my subscription after the trial finished - as it so happened I cancelled before the end - they said something about pressing a button or ringing a number but I simply hung up . Reported elsewhere as a dangerous no: get sick of this stuff .

Scam! Someone from India telling me that I have a virus on my internet any need to buy something or other from him to fix it

Automated call, says from Amazon, advising a payment will be taken! Amazon have advised they don't make this type of call. 4 x calls today between 09.00 and 12 midday - all slightly different numbers.
