Had a call which gave out a recorded announcement claiming to be from BT. I was told my router had been compromised and that 'my IP address had been used in several different countries'. That is obvious nonsense as BT are allocated a range of IP addresses which are served out dynamically to customers. They just can't be 'used in different countries'. I was asked to press 1 to speak to an engineer, 2 for further information, or press 3. I hung up. Recently I had a similar call from 0033485848792 and a call from 01268723796. These are scam artists who attempt to convince naive computer users that they have problems with their PC because of entries in their computer's error log. Just discovered the call came from The Vatican in Italy. The scam artist look to be using a range of different 'presentation numbers'. SCAM CALL.
