An automated voice told me about some tax fraud Registered against my name and I must press 1 and if I don’t I will be arrested soon!

Lowell Financial Ltd. seems to be a part of a SCAM system operated by debt collectors .We have had calls from several debt collectors over the last 5/6 years .They do not have our name or address ,nor do we have any debts and have never had for over 30 years. We do not respond to any of their messages over the phone.If you do have any outstanding debts you have to be notified in writing anyway.I feel sure if you do contact them and give your details they will create a debt from some fictitious list that just gets passed around .

Scammers using gumtree. Asking loads of questions about my car and asking that I use some website for history report, obviously wanting me to put in my card details on their site.

Recorded message that states there is a criminal conviction against you for tax evasion and a warrant out for your arrest. Asks you to call a number where you will undoubtedly be charged loads of money

Really nasty version as it will make people panic and cause stress....

i can only comment that this number called me and when i answered it then put me on hold while it rang through to another line. at that point i hung up. as far as i knew it could have been connecting me to a charge rate line or something.

Said they had received a suspicious Amazon order from this address with one thousand and something pounds, I cut the call off before I heard the rest of the amount. The number it rang was my mum's house line and she doesn't have the Internet
